The next workshop on validation was organized as a part of
transnational conference of the partnership REAL at the beginning of
June 2007 in Czech Republic.
The final document, compiled in cooperation of French and Welsh DPs , was presented and distributed to the participants of the
conference. It summaries the actual state of validation, the main principles, obstacles and plans in France and in Great Britain.

The representatives of different relevant organizations have
discussed the validation of qualifications obtained by work experience or in informal and non-formal training, the main problems and actual state in the European countries and also looked for possible solution, development and improvement of APEL in Czech Republic.

The representatives of different relevant organizations have discussed the problematic aspects of the motivation and retention of disadvantaged people in the process of lifelong learning. It was focused on finding out the main barriers and possible strategies for their remotion and reduction.

The transnational partnership REAL is regularly evaluated by the external evaluator. Thibault Pourbaix from CDI Lyon participates at all meetings of the coordination and evaluation group and he is responsible for external evaluation of our project.
Look at his intermediate evaluation report to recognize the quality of the partnership REAL during the period 1.5.2005 - 30.9.2006.
The French and Welsh partners cooperate within TCA REAL on workshops for sharing and exchanging the information and experience with accreditation of prior experiential learning (APEL), respectively the validation of non-formal and informal learning.
This concept is actually developped in all European countries, it belongs to the most important strategies for the development and improvement of the lifelong learning and helps to increase the qualification without formal learning.
The first workshop on VAE (APEL) was held in Bangor on 8th November 2005 and the second workshop was organized in Dijon on 6th December 2006.
