The group of French ceramists has visited the Czech Ceramic Atelier of Jarmila Tyrnerova in Kohoutov. The exchange was held in the week from 16th to 20th April 2007.

The scholarship included the practical training with special attention on argillaceous glazes and feldspar-based glazes. The students collected and processed the glazes from native raw materials, applied them on biscuits and burned the products in wood-fire kiln "Krejnik" at 1280 °C. In addition of the practical training, they had an opportunity to meet the local craftsmen and artists and visited the local ceramic workshops. They acquired the information about the educational system in art disciplines and listened to the lectures on Glazes and Kasel kiln. Moreover they visited the castle KUKS (including the traditional pharmacy equipped by the ancient ceramics and mainly the collection of the statues mady by Matthias Bernhard Braun) and the Museum of applied arts in Prague.

The group of French ceramist was composed from the actual students of CNIFOP. They all were very experienced in their discipline and made many tests focused on different technological  methods of production and burning of the ceramics.

The cooperation between the Czech and French DPs brings an unique opportunity for a group of craftmen and artists specialized on ceramics.

Czech ceramists have visited the educational centre CNIFOP in Saint Amand en Puisay in France from 26th to 30th March 2007. During this week, they have visited many  interesting ateliers (Nault, Seguin, Rosenne Bigot, Isabelle Daucourt, Mauricette or Marina Tellier), museums (Pottery´s Memory house, Stoneware Museum) and other nteresting places like the medival building site of GUEDELON or the ceramic supplier CERADEL.

They have gained an option to meet with local craftsmen and artists, exchange the information and experience and establish the contact for future cooperation. They have also attended the practical training with special attention on wood-firing, the glazes for the high temperatures or the production of big pots on pottery´s wheel.

The Czech target group was only composed from the qualified and experienced ceramists. They varied in age (from 28 to 65 years old), work and life style as well as in amount and type of experience, however everybody has been well motivated to absorb new knowledge, develop new contacts and improve his/her own ceramic business.

The students from CFA La Noue visited the professional establishments in Czech Republic

From 2nd to 6th  October 2006

More than thirty apprentices came to the Czech Republic for short scholarship. The young people from CFA La Noue in Dijon visited the professional establishments and experienced the practical training in Czech schools.

Two different types of visits and trainings were prepared. First of them was focused on cooking and services, second on car repairing. The students were divided into four training group: two groups of cooks and waiters and two groups of car mechanists and autotronics.

Scholarship of Czech unemployed cookers and waiters in France, 27.2.-3.3.2006 PDF Print E-mail

Czech unemployed cooks and waiters visited French professional establishments and attended the short practical training at CFA La Noue in Dijon.  

The short-term scholarship was putted into practice in the week from 27th February to 3th March 2006 in France. A small group of Czech young unemployed people participated in the EQUAL educative programme of the french organization CFA La Noue.

This short-term scholarship was appointed for cooks and waiters and it contributed to their development in professional knowledge (by learning new tricks and some specialities of french cuisine) and the improvement of their chances at the regional as well as european labour market. Moreover, it brought the psychological assets for these young unemployed and the positive changes in their minds - increase of self-assurance, reliance on their own skills and individual approach to the search of convenient solution of their own situation.

Programme was very varied and it contained the visits of professional establishments as well as the practical training.

The Czech participants visited the well-known hotel La Cloche in Dijon, the restuarant Stéphane Derbord, they recognized the hotel Mercure (within Accord chain) and took a look at the local market. The visit of the wine cave in Fixin was also very interesting - Czechs were informed about the principles of production and storage of wines and had an opportunity to taste quality wines of the various cultivars.

The practical training was focused on preparation of traditional French menu and also on the principles of serving the meals and drinks.
